Category-based draws
Targeted rounds for French, healthcare, STEM, trades, transport, agri-food, education. Cut-offs often 50–150 points below all-program.
Language & French priority
French-speaking candidates receive ongoing priority — NCLC 7+ unlocks the lowest-cut-off draws of the year.
Healthcare category
Nurses, physicians, pharmacists, MLT — weekly priority rounds clearing in the 463–472 range.
STEM rounds
Software engineers, data scientists, EE/ME — cut-offs trending into the 480s/490s as the pool deepens.
Processing & fees
Service standard re-confirmed at 6 months for CEC/FSW; fee updates take effect on published dates.

Recent updates
Education category added to category-based rounds
IRCC added a new education category targeting teachers, early-childhood educators and university instructors. Initial cut-offs cleared in the high 470s.
French rounds expand to four per month
Strong French-speaking applicants (NCLC 7+) now see additional category-specific rounds in addition to general French rounds. Cut-offs typically 379–428.
PR processing service standard reset to 6 months
IRCC re-confirmed the 6-month CEC/FSW service standard after backlog normalisation through Q4 2025.
2026 PNP allocations published
Federal-provincial allocations confirmed; Ontario, BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan received the largest base allocations.
Healthcare category-based draws continue weekly
Nurses, physicians, pharmacists, MLT and dentists continued to receive priority rounds with cut-offs in the 463–472 range.
STEM cut-offs trend higher
STEM category-based draws moved from 481 (April) to 491 (July) as the candidate pool deepened.
All-program cut-offs settle in the high 520s / low 530s
Following category-specific rounds clearing healthcare and STEM volume, the general all-program draws have settled in the 524–534 range.
