How CRSScoreCalculator.net writes, sources, reviews and corrects every guide on the site. Trust is the only product immigration content has — and these are the rules we don't break.

Primary sources only

Every numeric claim is anchored to IRCC, ESDC, StatCan, or an official PNP source — never paraphrased from a second-hand blog.

Human review

Every guide is reviewed by a human immigration researcher with hands-on Express Entry experience before publication.

Versioned guides

Major guides track their last-reviewed date in the page footer. Quarterly reviews catch drift from IRCC updates.

Independence

We do not accept paid placement, pay-to-rank reviews, or referral fees from immigration consultants, schools or test administrators.

Conflicts of interest

Any commercial relationship that could plausibly bias coverage is disclosed at the top of the affected page.

AI use, disclosed

We use AI tools for drafting and research only. No page is published without human review, fact-checking and editorial sign-off.

Sourcing standards

Every numeric claim on the site (CRS point values, draw cut-offs, processing times, fees, NOC mappings) must be traceable to a primary source — typically an IRCC page, a publication in the Canada Gazette, an official PNP page, or an ESDC/StatCan dataset. Where a primary source is missing or ambiguous, we say so explicitly.

Writer credentials

Our writers are not lawyers or RCICs (we will tell you if that changes). They are researchers and editors with direct Express Entry experience, paired with fact-checkers who verify every claim against primary sources.

Review process

  • Pre-publication: Each guide is reviewed by at least one editor and one fact-checker.
  • Quarterly: Pillar guides are reviewed every 90 days for drift.
  • Event-driven: After every Ministerial Instruction or material IRCC announcement, affected pages are reviewed within 48 hours.

Corrections

We treat factual corrections as a top priority. When a reader reports a verifiable error, we:

  1. Acknowledge the report within one business day.
  2. Verify against the primary source.
  3. Update the page within 48 hours of confirmation.
  4. Note the correction in the page footer (date, what changed, why).

Independence and conflicts of interest

We do not accept paid placement in guides, paid reviews of language tests or PNP advisors, or referral fees from immigration consultants. If a commercial relationship could plausibly bias coverage on a page (for example, an affiliate link to a Canadian language test), it is disclosed at the top of that page.

AI use

We use AI tools for drafting, research and translation. No page is published without human review, fact-checking and editorial sign-off. AI is never the author of record.

Translation

Where we publish translated content, the original-language version is the authoritative source for factual claims. Translations are reviewed by native speakers familiar with Express Entry terminology.
